Tony has over 8 years of experience within the startup ecosystem and co-leads the fund’s investments in the consumer sector, playing a pivotal role in shaping MVP’s portfolio with successful investments in Tagteam Technologies (SEA and South Korea), Gourmet Garden (India), Armada Brands (Philippines), NewCampus (Southeast Asia), and Warpfy (India). Prior to joining the firm, Tony held positions at Enterprise Singapore (ESG) and SoftBank Robotics, and contributed to the investment, business development, and marketing functions. At ESG, he represented the organisation on the Board of Directors for startups in SaaS, WaterTech, Robotics, and Logistics sectors, collaborating with ASEAN partners to launch go-to-market programs. During his tenure at SoftBank Robotics, Tony spearheaded digital marketing strategies to drive business leads across the Asia-Pacific region. Tony holds a Bachelor of Business from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and received scholarships from SPRING Singapore and Temasek Foundation. When not working, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, staying active (he holds a 2nd Dan in Taekwondo), and indulging in his passion for collecting Pokémon cards.
