Joachim, has nearly 30 years of experience across a broad set of general management functions from strategy to operations in High-Tech, Digital, Advertising, Banking, and other industries transforming and scaling businesses. He has worked in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. Until June 2019, Joachim was Managing Director with Google in Asia-Pacific. Over the almost 9 years tenure, he was responsible for the regional COO/Sales Operations, Advertising Solutions, and User Product Partnership functions. He was a member of the respective Asia-Pacific region as well as functional global executive leadership teams. Prior to Google, Joachim was the Vice President of Global Strategy & Business Development with Dell, responsible initially for the Asia-Pacific business, then globally for the SMB and Consumer business units (2007-2010).

Formerly, Joachim spent 12 years with McKinsey & Company, as a Partner since 2002. He led the Firm’s Business Technology group in Southeast-Asia. Joachim started his career as a Software Engineer in start-ups as well as large scale organizations. Joachim lives in Singapore and has, as part of working in most Asia-Pacific markets for almost twenty years, established a broad professional network. He earned his MBA from Clemson University, South Carolina and also holds a Master of Computer Science (Dipl.Inform.) from the University of Stuttgart. Joachim has been awarded the Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD’s International Board of Directors program.
